Our Native Pollinator Plant Giveaway
Our plant giveaway was a great success. We gave away 100 kits that consisted of 3 plants, a pollinator sign and seeds for 25sf. Over June 8-10th we gave them away at Chapman Florist, the Trustees at Long Hill, Beverly Bootstraps and right at our very own native pollinator garden at Dane Street (around the flagpole).
We want to thank these locations that hosted our giveaways; Wolf Hill, who we bought the plants from at a great price; and the volunteers who helped at the giveaway. You may be thinking - I want one of those signs! Not to worry - we will be selling these signs soon - so keep an eye out for that news!
As part of this project we rolled out a pollinator map which resides at the top of our garden page here. The goal for this map is to show where all our native pollinator plants are in Beverly and how our native pollinators can fly through our city from planting to planting.
So plant native plants and register your garden on this page! There are 3 forms: one for homeowners, one for businesses/organizations and one for our public spaces. Once you register your planting we will mark it on the map and show the connection to other adjacent plantings.
If you were a recipient of this giveaway we would love to hear updates on your plants, seeds or sign!
