Choose restaurants that feature food from local farms, in-season produce, or other “green” behaviors.
Small businesses are more likely to source their products locally than large chain restaurants.
Decline plastic straws.
Bring your own reusable mug to coffee shops.
Ask your favorite restaurants to implement sustainable alternatives:
Use compostable beverage and take-out containers.
Buy local ingredients.
Have a seasonal menu.
Participate in compost or food waste reduction programs (such as donation).
